Favorite Fall 2021 Fashion Trends To Know Now

The days are getting shorter, the temps are getting colder and iced coffee orders will soon turn into pumpkin spiced lattes. While we’re all probably holding on to these sweet summer days for dear life (still making up for the loss of 2020), there is one thing to look forward to – fall fashion of course! The runways have spoken, and the biggest and best names in the industry have given us a good glimpse at what everyone will be filling their shopping carts and closets with this year. Some retailers have even started dropping these next-season new-arrivals already!

That’s why we’ve rounded up our favorites early fall/autumn trends to know and embrace. The in-favor list includes energizing hues like fuchsia and neon green, delicate fabrics like lace and silk, jumbo jeans, oversized hobo bags and more. The 2000s are back. ‘90s are back. The ‘20s are even back! Yes, there’s so much to be excited about for this upcoming season. So, whether you're ready to jump the gun on fall fashion and get to shopping now or simply want to be prepared for when late September hits, here’s a look at what’s going to be making a splash in the next few months.

Jumbo Jeans

If you haven’t already heard, skinny jeans are out (according to Gen Z that is)! While we’ve been seeing a surge of wide-leg denim for quite some time now, expect to see jeans get even bigger and slouchier.

Quilted Jackets

Quilted jackets are like a hybrid of a puffer jacket and a track jacket. What’s great is that they manage to successfully marry comfiness and practicality with style and personality. You simply can’t go wrong with one. Short, long, oversized, belted, neutral or bright – they’re all approved!

Sweater Vests

The preppy sweater vest was spotted within nearly every fall designer collection this season. So, you know it’s going to be a big one. Super versatile in style, wear them over button-downs, turtlenecks or even on their own if the weather allows for it!

Western-Inspired Boots

Boots will always be in fashion – whether they’re knee-high, combat, Chelsea, moto style or anything in between. This season? Western-themed cowboy boots are back! Can we get a yeehaw? Yeehaw!

Clogs

Slowly but surely, pair by pair, clogs are coming out of hiding (from the 70s and 80s) and stepping up as one of fall’s biggest footwear fads. These wood-soled slip-ons pair well with everything from flared jeans (also trending) to miniskirts.

Bold Hues

This fall is all about bold pops of bright and energizing colors. Think vibrant yellows, fiery reds and sugary shades of pinks. These powerful hues can be balanced out by pairing them with pieces in neutral shades of ivory, beige and grey.

Bigger is alway better, especially this fall! For the upcoming season, we're seeing several iterations of the oversized hobo bags - from slouchy to more structured.
